You may have heard about raising your vibration or attaining a higher vibration level, particularly if you have an interest in holistic therapies or yoga. But what exactly is it all about and why is it important?
If you are not familiar with the Universal Laws, you may be familiar with the Law of Attraction from the book and film ‘The Secret’. Another Universal Law is the Law of Vibration, which states that all things are made of energy. Science confirms that everything in the Universe, is pure energy vibrating at different frequencies, and this includes you. This energy is constantly moving, oscillating and vibrating at different speeds.
We all vibrate energetically at a particular frequency. The lower the frequency of your vibration, the denser your energy. This may manifest as physical or emotional dis-ease. Life may appear more problematic and negative. In contrast, the higher the frequency of your vibration, the lighter your energy. You will be in better physical and emotional health as your body is in balance. You will experience a much more positive life, as it flows with synchronicities and clarity, with a deeper inner peace and happiness.
Your personal frequency impacts every aspect of your life. Your vibrational frequency emits out into the universe like radio waves through your thoughts and emotions. The mind is more powerful than you may imagine. The law of vibration and law of attraction tell us that we must align our energy with what we want to attract, therefore if we want positive experiences we must ensure that our thoughts and emotions are aligned to that level. High vibrations will attract the higher frequency more positive experiences, whereas low vibrations will attract the opposite.
So the question that you may be asking is ‘how do I raise my vibration?’
There are some simple things that you can do right away to start raising your vibration, these include spending time outdoors, gentle exercise, eating a healthy diet, limiting the time you spend on electronic devices (these emit invisible electromagnetic frequencies that can negatively impact your energy field), limiting exposure to violent news, surrounding yourself by positive people, showing kindness and compassion and expressing gratitude.
Other methods include meditation, practices such as yoga, using high vibrational crystals, reiki and opening, clearing and balancing your chakras (using reiki, crystals or colour).
The chakras are swirling funnel shaped energy centres that exist in the subtle body, not the physical body. The physical body consists of energy that vibrates very slowly, and is physically visible. The subtle bodies are external energy layers with higher rates of vibration that create a field of energy around the physical body, known as the aura. When they are healthy and functioning properly the chakras act as gateways for energy from the subtle bodies to enter the physical body via the nadis and meridians. Equally they provide an exit point for lower frequency energy to be released back into the subtle bodies for transmutation.
The flow of energy through the chakras is vital to maintain optimum well being. It is essential that our main chakras stay open, aligned, and fluid. If the chakras are not balanced or are blocked, the basic life force (sometimes called ‘chi’ or ‘prana’) will be slowed down. If one of the chakras is blocked or out of balance, then energy cannot flow freely and evenly throughout the body. Chakras can become blocked or unbalanced by long held negative states – mental, emotional and physical. If there is a blockage, energy cannot flow and this can lead to dis-ease, both physical and mental or emotional. When the vibrational frequency of these subtle bodies rise, they provide us with higher forms of energy, sensations, perception and awareness.
Raising your vibration may also allow you to make contact with other dimensions including the ‘spirit world’ and ‘angelic realm’ which resonate at a higher level of consciousness, bringing wisdom and guidance. By opening the third eye (brow chakra) we open up extra sensory abilities that lie dormant within us. Known as your sixth sense, this includes any form of communication that does not arrive in your consciousness through the five main senses. These spiritual gifts or psychic abilities may include clairvoyance (clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairsentience (clear feeling) among others. Whilst these abilities lie dormant within us, they are not necessarily something that we can ‘learn’, they often unfold spontaneously, however raising your vibration is a way to open this this door.
